Mack rears, while they may or may not be full lockers, are NOT open. They are more of a limited slip, sending a portion of the torque needed to spin the wheel with the least traction to the other side. All 3 differentials on Mack rears work like that...front diff, rear diff, and power divider.

Idk oilfield work, that rate for hourly seems like more than one other party getting a piece to me.
Your fathers mack looks like one I've seen a few times. Definitely uncommon anymore. -
We have a good gig here where we are. Start 2-3am done 3pm most days and halfway decent rates
5.41 on 230mi and 4.83 on 247 mi isn't half bad ill dig up some van loads and post em later that pay just as much as the flats. The fsc isn't taxed it comes as a separate check labeled toll reimbursement. We don't pay for tolls either. Not a deal breaker but its a decent perk running mostly toll roads -
