I have a full time job and another job I work on saturday. Now I just keep a log book. Will I have to print out my logs for the days I work my full time job and take them to the other job and keep the with me?
-
Your Sat job,,, is it driving that requires a CDL?
-
yes. And also, I used to work one of those logostics places where they send you out as a temp driver to different places
-
Technically every job, CDL or not, counts against your On-Duty Not Driving. Now how to enter that into the E-logs, I don't know. Even if you were a security guard for a boulder in Kansas, you would legally be required to log that time.brian991219 Thanks this.

70 hrs in 8 day's? = 8hrs 45min per day per log per job. carry 7 previous days plus the day you're on. yes, print outs and or an e log you can take with you to account for your time spent.
70 ÷ 7 = 10 hrs a day
what about the 100 mile air radius and logs?Last edited: Mar 30, 2017

Assuming each company allows you to work else where, inquire within.

If you have worked for more than one motor carrier in the last 8 days you need to have the records of that work with the other Carrier. Those records (Paper logs) need to be with you ready to present on demand to any DOT officer. And turned into both carriers.
Now I have never given a thought to working say a gas station cashier for 40 hours and then climbing into a big truck to run up to the NE for the weekend... that's two jobs. I don't know of anything in the regulations about it. Theoratically I only have 30 hours remaining against my 70.
No one should have to have two or three jobs in this modern living but it is what it is. There might be a need to write new rules regarding multipule jobs and hours worked. -
Guidance for § 395.8: Driver's record of duty status.
Question 11: Is a driver who works for a motor carrier on an occasional basis and who is regularly employed by a non-motor carrier entity required to submit either records of duty status or a signed statement regarding the hours of service for all on-duty time as “on-duty time” as defined by §395.2?
Guidance: Yes.
