I said I went home in that situation,, not sure what yer getting at??
Also said if I were on elogs, I'd be stuck. But I suppose mebbe i should have clarified that it depends on the company. Go over your HOS, it gets flagged. Some companies are ok with the "finding a safe haven" thing, some will say you need to trip plan better.

Seriously??

The law is the law. It doesn't matter what the company says. It is the law that matters. And yes it gets flagged, but that doesn't mean anything unless you are making a habit of things that get flagged.

Parking is going to get worse. The gooberment doesn't want trucks on the road. That's all there is too it. And with more and more places banning truck parking. Only thing elogs will do is transform more solo operations in to TEAMS. I don't see ANY of the companies that run California and back surviving on elogs. Cali is a union state. They work at their own pleasure. And when you factor in the traffic. California will eat your 70 up in 5 days.
Peter Griffin Thanks this. -
Are you high? Almost every midsized and large trucking company has been on elogs for years, and none of them stopped servicing California.
MidWest_MacDaddy, CJndaTruck and Straight Stacks Thank this. -
Along with everyone else above, I have to disagree... If I knew I was only going to go 10-15min over to to reach my next location I would "fix" a bit on paper logs to get more sleep before pu/delv. On elogs I would have stopped prior to even being close... It will become a rush to park, rather than just moving on a bit to the next location. I never ran crazy logs, but I sure as h@ll wasn't staying the night in Compton or downtown Philly.
Peter Griffin and sevenmph Thank this. -
The only people who believe e logs will help the industry are those in the business of creating regulations,,
Peter Griffin Thanks this. -
They also spend 1 or 2 nights there. And don't go home on a daily basis.
