Just click one of the four things that you will be doing, its just like a paper log book and less work, but you have to get use to it.

Let's see, 14 hours to do 11 hours of driving? I'll have to consult Bill Clinton, but I think the arithmetic works out to 3 hours left to take a nap.

And this thread will drift off topic in three... two... one....

Oops I'm too late. It drifted off topic from the first response. Shocking.

i never want to go back to elogs. i was 10 miles away from the consignee and with 7 mins left of drive time and there was a truck stop across the street i could sleep at. i wasnt going to take my 10 hr break at the rest stop that was 50 miles north of where i was going. so i hit the shoulder real quick and logged out of the system. the next day the company called and told me how unhappy they were about that and threatened to fire me and edited my logs so that i was in violation. forget elogs

Learn how to manage your time. I've been on them for about a year and a half, always make it on time with time to spare. If you actually plan your trip, fuel stops, rest, etc, you'll never have an issue. An E-log isn't the problem. A driver who can't keep his door closed or can't plan ahead is.

All E Logs do is make it easier to spot crappy drivers, and the DOT officer doesn't have to spend all his time to catch you in a fib. For all those who say otherwise and cry about tracking. Your computer in your truck tells on you even if you don't have a qualcomm. Also lawyers request for phone pinging so if you are going to run hot. You better have your phone off. You also better not use your debit or cc card. Also you better not sign the time on the log sheets at shippers and receivers. ELogs are here to stay. So deal with it or ship out.
