I agree just left there and I was bringing in $5000 to $6000 a week rip off company. They also take 25% of your fuel and they just lost a big account with Total Quality logistics. If his friends are making money it's only because they run off eagle board and that freight is in Indiana. Lets see how they do this winter. The broker list they they have sucks most of the brokers on there lost is not setup with eagle and it's take eagle sorry ### two weeks to set them up

I could post a whole thread but ill just post it here since its related to Eagle/Celadon. I will be turning my truck in come monday morning. I truly tried to make this work with them. However I do not have the contacts/reputation with the other brokers on their list, my contacts were with TQL, and since TQL is no longer allowed to be used, I sat because the loads I did find were with brokers I wasnt allowed to use, or those brokers refused to work with me based on my reputation. I also ran into an issue with having a conestoga flatbed and a lot of shippers refusing to load one. Im sure some of those here will find my post funny because I gave it a shot and failed, however it wasnt because I sat on my own, the restrictions Eagle placed on us, was very tough.

Well what reputation did you have that brokers wouldn't use you? -
Well I worked mostly with TQL after I first started, their agents were calling me offering me loads. As far as other agents, I didnt have any reputation with them because I hadnt hauled enough loads with them, so their offers were slim and paid even worse. Most times I got the reason that the agent had been burned so many times by other Eagle drivers that they refused to use load Eagle. while in california I called a Tennessee Steel Haulers agent about a load of rail road parts going from out there over to Kansas City. When the agent heard the name Eagle, she cut me off saying they dont load Eagle anylonger. When I finally found a load with a Conway broker from Orange Cali to New York, the agent was offering 1.76/mile weighing 21,000 but didnt load till friday. Well it was Wednesday and he wanted to work me locally till the load was ready. He sent the carrier packet to Eagle, and Eagle refused to sign the carrier packet. Only Eagles legal team was allowed to sign the carrier packets. I had called maybe 30 different brokers on the approved list, of those approved, mostly shippers had issue with loading me because I had a conestoga. Im not saying Eagle or the brokers are all at fault. Alot of it has to be placed at my feet as well. Im just not entirely sure what else I couldve done. In the end I leave saturday evening to head to Memphis to start with Builders.

I worked for Eagle...and as the lead of the article stated, I didn't not make money. I knew about all that, however, I did not book my own loads but let the DM do it and I sat more than anything. It was so ridiculous. You find shippers you want to work with and they have to be approved by them, it never happened.

in order to be an "approved shipper" Eagle must get a cut under the table lol
