You are getting in my neck-of-the-woods when you get to Dothan. I'm not home, so all I ask is for you to restock the fridge before you leave. :)

Truck Medic, I haven't started with Eagle yet. Will be there Mon., so I can only tell you what I have been told by my recruiter out of Knoxville (Stephanie), which btw has been very helpful in getting answers for me.
As far as brokers......there is a long list of them. As long as Eagle is already set up with them for payment, you can get loads from them and yes CH is one of them. I personally don't like CH freight, cheap rates, heavy loads and 99% tarping. Once you meet your DM you will be able to get the list and it is my understanding to pick your loads yourself and have your DM authorize the load with the broker. Win Win for you and the company.
As far as trucks.....you will have your choice, but they are pushing KW W9's and International Lonestars to flatbed drivers. I love the W9's but not as good on mileage, plus they don't come with APU's. All of this might change by the time I get there Mon., who knows.
The maintenance escrow, as far as I know, can only be used on repairs. I will be going with new with warranty to cover 5 years bumper to bumper. On the trailer, eagle will cover any repairs to it since you are only renting it from them. If you are wanting a trailer of your own, I suggest save the money and buy one that will be yours.
I do know that you can leave and go to another company with the truck after 90 days, that is as long as you are able to continue paying the weekly payments.
Lastly, all I know about fuel discounts is whatever they are set up for on comdata fuel cards.
I hope this was helpful. I will have better and more info after Mon.

fr8monkey, hate to hear you have had those numbers for deadhead mile. Crazy!! If you will set up your own loads, reduce deadhead miles, your end week deductions will be better. Plus you will most likely make better week end gross.

right now, the best freight rates are in the northeast, Pa. & NJ. if you care to run there. Midwest runs are next in line after NE. If you can book a load over $2 then you and the company make pretty good. SE loads 3rd in line for decent pay.

My suggestion to everyone getting on board with Eagle is to check different load boards and set up with them. Make contact with the ones that Eagle is already set up with and just build a rapport with them. Let them know what type freight you are looking for and what lanes you want to run. You might make less on the return loads, but great on the load out. It will all balance well, for that stage of you weekly run. There is no reason, all of us can't take home $2000 plus per week. Just saying!!!
