It's so called truckers like you that think you know everything and you don't know squat! That is why your truck is home in your yard and you are working as a company driver and not succeeding driving your own truck, that is so called parked! I am the female you spoke of saying that 76000 to the truck in 6 mths was not much! But what are you making as a company driver during those 6 mths? You said an owner operator is to make between 4000-5000 a week! True if you own your own truck! Add 1262 dollars to that 3100 dollars you calculated for the weekly truck payment being taken out and what the #### do you come up with? Also how can you speak on something You have not experienced? You have not worked at eagle so you are flapping off at the mouth and have no clue to what's really going on! Ask your buddies how many times their pay checks come up short! Ask your buddies how many times their escrow accounts have been decreasing instead of increasing when they haven't touched it! Ask your buddies how many times they haven't received detention pay for loads that paid detention! And ask your buddies how many people they know that left Eagle and did not receive a dime of their maintence escrow back due to false-owed charges! There are more ways to fail at Eagle than it just being the drivers fault! Like I said in my above post- Eagle Logistics will Rob the hell

I currently drive for Eagle/Celadon and admit it is a challenge to make money on the lease purchase program. However, I have to question the issue of the maintenance escrow. How is it that so many drivers claim to have had thier money taken? Seems to me if drivers were doing the maintenance that thier truck needs there would never be a surplus for anyone to take.

Just quit working for them back in May I went home one time back in January for 2.5 days because I had a dr appointment and since then I didn't go home for almost 4 months, I was lucky to clear $200 a week on a good week after I went home. Most weeks it's negative. I will admit when I first started I was clearing over $1800 a week after all expenses including fuel and a $807.08 a week truck payment because yes like an idiot I opted in for a 2015 that is the same price as a 2016 with anywhere between 75,000-120,000 miles on it where as the new ones usually have less then 1,000 miles. Btw if ur after a new truck good luck on getting it through quality because Celadon drivers get first pick and they will not and I repeat will not hold a truck for u for more then an hr or 2 for u to look at it. Was still a 7 year lease also which didn't bother me at the time because hey I figure I could make money here. Fat chance of that, I as up at the NJ port and they offered me a ld out of there paying $00.42 a mile when u break it all down to ur 75% of the ld and it went to Florida ..... after that all they wanted to offer where LDS that payed well under $1 a mile after the break down. So I quit what's the point in working for a company when u don't see a paycheck except for the first few weeks and that charges hidden fees and over miles. Ohh anything over 2,500 miles a week they take 10%-15% of what u make as a fee so ya they charge over miles. U make 75% of the ld yes until u go past I-35 then it's 65% of the ld. I will admit they have nice equipment but u can't afford to keep it unless u team and then it's hard. I've ran percent for the past 8 years and I will say that this company is the worse one when it comes to pay. All in all it boils down to that it's a Celadon company, if u want to work for Celadon and not go home except once ever quarter like my experience showed for me then by all means go for it but it wasn't worth it for me.

It's money that should of went in the truck and if there was anything extra you were not doing the maintenance. Dam, 5 cents a mile barely covers PMs.

$270÷30000 miles = $.009 ... the money belongs to you. If you don't use it you pay taxes on it. In the first year the only expense is going to be pms.

Even CRE returns the unused maintenabcw funds.

Where did you get your numbers? The issue involves 5 cents a mile not 9. If your running 2500 - 3000 a week you will need a PM each month. At 279 a PM you will be left with about 300 a month in escrow for tires, brakes, wheel alignments, etc. Where would there be anything left over?
