2012 freightliner, aux switch on cab floor doesnt kill power like it did before. Brand new switch, PNDB on firewall replaced (last year by old mechanic). Switch stays solid red when on, no issues starting truck, no random shut offs when driving. after turning truck off and turning switch, the auxilary light goes off but the "main" still flashes as well as the red light on firewall pndb.
I also noticed that inside the PT-PDM the F10-F-11 fuses have no power to them but everthing else does.
The driver side cab light(map light idk) also will not turn off i just took bulb out.
EAP10 aux switch

Read through troubleshooting and found this "If the blink is a 1 blink repeating at the main LED of Powernet Distribution Box (PNDB) and 1 blink repeating at the Cab Load Disconnect Switch (CLDS) with the CLDS in off position then the PNDB detects voltage on the output side of the cutoff solenoid. This can be caused by the cut off solenoid mechanically sticking closed when it should be open or an inverter/battery charger is powering the output side of the PNDB.
If the Solenoid can be heard clicking when the CLDS is cycled, check for inverter or battery charger. Otherwise the PNDB is most likely faulty."forevernewmechanic and QUALITYTRUCK Thank this. -
Also found, if 3 blinks repeating at main LED at PNDB and main LED of CLDS with CLDS in off position, then Circuit 425F or 425G short to ground.
Checks: Check PNDB connector X1, pin 4 for 11 volts. If there is no voltage at pin 4 replace the the PNDB. If voltage present, check for 11 volts at CLDS connector X1, terminals 1 and 2, and PNDB connector X1, terminal 5 to find location of the short in the circuit.
Hope this can give you some direction. Would be interested to know your testing results.Last edited: Apr 22, 2024
