I have driven alot of trucks with all the engines except volvos, The T600 is an excellent choice with a cummins in it. I believe that the cummins is the easiest to work on. I know a gentleman in savanna ga. that rebuilds them in his backyard in one weekend,in frame overhaul, that was the 400hp models and 350s.I like the 13 speed over, but my favorite is the manual 2 stick,5 and 4,with the cummins you have plenty of gear ranges to pull the hills, and can find a gear to stay in all the way up the mountain, with a 9 or 10 you are costantly shifting unless you have a big kitty. 5 and 4s are just about obsolete except the air ones. I drove a t600 kw for a year with a 500 detriot, never let me down, nice sleeper and rode really good.Great economical model on fuel and cheaper to buy than w900s and pete379s.If you buy a T2ooo that is used, check the rear suspension and tracking works, they really have alot of wear there for some reason and costs alot to get fixed. Good luck.
