You have to pay me to run either one:biggrin_25525: But if the money's not there I will drive home for free:biggrin_25522:

While I am glad they do as I get to supply them I will never understand the people that live on either coast. Add any city with a population over 50,000 to that. Just don't understand wanting to live close enough to hear them fart:biggrin_25521:

If I gotta pick it's east coast as I get paid more to run it and I'm coin operated to a point.

In the short two years I've been driving, my opinion is, if a state has a salt water coast, or direct access to salt water, I don't want to go there. For any reason, in any form of transport. Period.
Hostile terrian, hostile population and unfriendly local governments. No thank you. I'll stick to the midwest and the plains whever possible.
Add to that list, any area with a population over 5,000 is to crowded to travel into, let alone live in.

There's more open road out west. You can make better time especially at night. I can remember running I40 from New Mexico to California at night where there was hundreds of truck running west and we had no problems with any stops. I just like the open road and knowing the mandatory stops without a toll plaza every few miles.

Most of the A-Wholes who are in power there have their roots in Kaliphornia. Or at least that is how it used to be. . .

    wow
thought you all were TRUCK DRIVERS YOU go where the freight takes you no matter where it is...as long as the pay is fair...
there are areas I dont like but I still go...I hate NYCity but that load out to Long Island sure does pay good...so I go...
I generally prefer the East Coast anyway...LOL living in Atlanta area I can generaly get home from anywhere on the East coast with in a day...Dont really care to go west of Texas...reason being I might have to be out on the road for more than 4 days....

I'm with Landshark and BlackW9! I like the diversity of it all. Going the same place gets old! I love the one way crowded parallel parkin streets of New York as well as the stinky long lines at the docks in LA LA LAND! In between you get a nice slow and easy ride through the heartland run like hell across 70, 80 or 90 and shoot up over the mountains and slide down into the smog!

OK all you girls!!! You go ahead and stay in your lovely mid-coast wussy runs & leave the real trucking to us professionals who don't have issues with NY or CA!
