    any body know any info on the new flatbed division started by eastern freightways....there making good money (CPM)...so im thinking there may be a catch somwhere,maybe not that good of miles. please share your thoughts

    from what the ads look like, it looks like Mitch Bookbinder went to Eastern when LJ Kennedy was still trying to stay in business. he's a good guy, he doesn't treat drivers like garbage. watching EF trucks for the last couple years around WNY, I would say the catch is the equipment. if you like shiny trucks over money in your pocket, go work at tmc. not that EF equipment is bad, it just looks like they bought a bunch of the old LJ Kennedy equipment when they were circling the drain.

    Does anybody knows the pay with them, and if they have plenty work for their drivers?

    their page online states .48cpm, loaded or empty. they must have work, because the pay is up from what it was a year ago, which was a sliding scale that only topped out at .45 cpm, then iirc, once you hit 1500 miles it dropped to .42, then at 2500 it dropped to .40, or something like that.....

    probably a pretty good job, based on the average miles and pay, seems like a 60k a year job for fairly easy work. just ask about their equipment first, because you DONT want an automatic, make that clear!
