You should first discuss this with the trainer. What he allows and what equipment he has in the truck will guide you in your choices. You don't want to show up with food items the trainer doesn't allow and then have to get rid of them.

Canned soups etc are convenient but most stuff in cans has tons of sodium.

Canned tuna fish is healthy but stinks.

Burton ovens are good for roast beef but you need a fridge for the meat prior to cooking.

The best combination of convenient and healthy and non stinky I've found is breakfast cereal right out of the box. And minute rice if you have a microwave.

Stagg brand Dynamite Hot Chili. Eaten strait from the can. Sometimes it is necessary to do that.
Tell your trainer for the next month it's not his truck it's yours, get that straight up front. 20160124_133450(0).jpg Get 3 or 4 days of apples, oranges, avacados also, stuff that will keep without being refrigerated.
95 % of the shippers & receivers will have a microwave you can use. Use the microwave at truck stops also.
Your going to want some hot food during winter, so don't be afraid to pony up a few bucks at the truck stops for a good meal now and then.
I grill 8 months a year, grill comes on board, when the chains get left at the house.
There's a jar of peanut butter behind the jelly.
If you do chips ( and salsa like me ) buy at Wal Mart or grocery store, buy everything at Wal Mart or grocery store.
Make sure you get a case of water.
    Good luck sonny. 20160107_133237.jpg

I ate peanut butter, crackers, and apples for most of my duration in training and got a case of water I stuffed under the bunk.

Some people have more luxurious ideas of eating but for me it was fine.
