It is $1000 per year for the Cat ET, my cost which is the same as the dealer.
Cummins is a little more, again my cost is the same as the dealer.
What the real problem is when you get the ebay pirated software crap, you can't always upgrade it because it is hacked.
I have almost $9k in annual software licensing alone for my fleet, the licensing is for more than one computer. I also have a few thousand in adapters for the laptops.
Ebay Diagnostic laptops???? Any good

Any of the big names are a joke when it comes to the bigger tools. Most of them are just rebranded with the Snap-On/Mac/Matco etc name and they tack on an extra 15-20% to the price.
rabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
would it be all that important to have the "latest and greatest software (cat et) ect. if, for example my truck was made back in 07?? wouldn't i only need software current to that era? maybe 2010?

???
I AM a dealer. It is not $1,000 per year for ET nor is it that for Cummins.
whoever is telling you that you're paying cost is making a LOT of profit off you, sorry to tell you that. -

Has anyone ever tried using TEXA for diagnostics? They seem to be pretty good software from looking at them.

I followed Diesel Laptops down the rabbit hole on youtube. I'm curious about Texa stuff...

Where is the best place to buy a nextiq from? Seems to be a huge number of them on eBay, just don’t want to get stuck with an office ornament
