How can I get that 'echo' sound that some drivers have? You know, the sound of voice tha sound like they are comingfrom the inside of an empty tin garbage can?

    Currently using a Roadking.

If you find it keep it turned low low low. Excessive echo is crap

Echo is annoying as crap. I would not even respond to those. Considered a "Johnson extension" in my neck of the woods for the CB GB's

    Tb0n3 and Timin770 Thank this.

I used to think it was a result of using cophased antennas. I thought the signal was slightly out of phase between the two, and the echo was a product of that. :D

I sense the sarcasm, but get the LT2 board(connex) if you can find it. Get a good microphone like the Astatic 636L which doesn’t muddy up the sound, and get a radio with strong clear modulation like a General Lee. Turn the tone all the way closed, crack the echo about 11 o clock and it will sound awesome.

Turn it down untill you can't hear it through the talk back and it will be close. There is more echo that what you can hear through talk back. It doesn't sound the same to anyone else.

Any cb shop can I stall an "echo board", I'd stay away from the echo mics, they are junk.

Yeah I just barely turn mine up the tiniest bit. I'd rather transmit no echo than transmit the overbearing echo crap heard out there on a daily basis

    Jazz1 Thanks this.
