Evidently, most folks with the echo feature don't know how to use it. Rarely do I hear one that actually improves things. Most make things a lot worse.

You might point that out. It’s usually both too much Gain and too much Echo.

I’ve brought it up a number of times.

Sort of like, your fly is open.

Most guys use old coffee cans...They cut a hole in the bottom of the can, then stick the Microphone in the bottom and tape or glue it down...You have to cut a hole also in the side of the can so you will be able to push the Mic button...Must use the old style tin coffee cans for best results, the new plastic cans won't work...Colt 45 malt liquor cans can be used also...

Can’t I just run a string to the neighbors house and into HIS coffee can?

But what to do about CJI? Caffeine Jitters Interference

Or like Craig, getting waterlogged feet from standing in shower stall, working skip.

You mean Rideglines stunt? Can summon the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz via his kitchen by whispering into the coffee can (with cantennna on roof).

If not used at a level that is low enough to still understand you. It becomes as annoying as the rest of those stupid ##* noise toys people run in their radios. Like the Roger beep.

I heard a guy in North GA last night asking for a radio check. His echo must have been on 11. Sounded like crap.

I recommend setting echo on 1

I usually crank mine all the way up and mumble gibberish when I hear another Driver using his in a bad way. Then I'll keep asking for a "radio check" until he gets so stepped on he gives up.
