    keep your truck well maintained
    always run downhill
    always run with a tailwind
shop around for the cheapest fuel
always run as lite as possible
keep your foot off the gas as much as poss
save your money on buying useless gadgets
    dont take cheap loads

if someone comes up with a proven gadget to save fuel, they would not need to sell it here, the big truck manufactures would line up to buy it...............

Eco-Taz is being pushed by a sales man.
    Never tried to hide that.
Using tried and tested techniques no doubt.

I too am skeptical but a test by Dice would have gone a long way to shake the fence I am on.

    Dice1 Thanks this.

Yep kingQ,i am disapointed Dice won't be testing this thing too,but i still respect both Ben AND Dice. I have followed Dice for a while now,and as best i can tell,he knows his stuff when it comes to fuel milage, and i beleive him to be very ''creditable'' and that is why i was hoping to see some of his numbers from the test, but i also realize that a feller has to base his decisions on past experiences because if we don't,we will make the same mistakes over and over again,so if Dice feels that the Eco system does not warrant a test, then he sure does not need to test it on my behalf,it's his time he's trying to manage and i won't argue with that. It does tell me something if he is that sure it won't help. I was really ''skeptical'' to say the least, and since i ''paid'' for mine, i may be the biggest ''sucker'' of all:biggrin_2559:. Here's the difference with me tho,i really don't care what some one on an ''internet forum'' THINKS of me,if i had to have the approval of Dice,Ben or any one else for that matter i'd probably be working for them instead of myself, but i'm not,so at the end of the day it's still on me,nobody to blame for ''bad decisions'' but me.The nice thing about that tho is when things work out for the good,it's on me too:biggrin_25525:.

I had one conversation with Ben and was pleasantly surprised at how ''down to earth'' and ''professional'' he was,he actually tried to give me mine, and i declined. He is selling a product tho,so i don't get to ''riled up'' when he get's a tad over-zealous in his sales talk because, hey,it's not like we are not used to having folks push stuff at us all the time anyway, right.

Look folks, bottomline is this,it's still YOUR decision. Take responsibility for that decision either way,i'm going to.

Thanks to all who have posted their opinions, good or bad, that's how we learn ain't it?

I`ve got a 20 year old mechanical Cat running around 400 miles a day.Half of the miles are overgross weight.Would love to test something that saves me money.Especially something to help with the winter blend of fuel which costs me .5mpg.Dont like salespeople and not going to listen to the B/S, but if they work I might buy alot of them.

No what really told me that this was a total sales con job was when I wanted to delay test for a minor mechanical reason during my base testing and plus 2 members in another forum (Let's Truck) that I told Ben about of fuel mileage nuts like me thought I needed more base line to compare with so I and I only decided to start on March 1st instead of February 1st like I had talked to Ben about on phone.

Ben sent me an e-mail turning everything around I posted and acted like it was his idea to delay test due to concern over those 2 members in the other forum that questioned something I had already addressed and informed me they had not sent the device to me yet from TX like discussed on phone due this after I questioned it on the forum.

Finding out the device had been sent and the turning my idea around set of my BS detector big time that I don't sugar coat anything seeing fear from Ben to get an honest non-sales brainwashed test would hurt the product sales on here.

I made the decision to go back and compare the EcoTaz with the Turbo3000d Vada and decided I had already been down the road before and I would not be Conned into doing it again.

You guys getting 100% money back guarantees as claimed are not getting the money to pay a professional mechanic to install and uninstall it including the time lost to do it refunded. So what percentage would that be if you have to pay for mechanic to do the work?

Again sorry to disappoint those expecting a test from, but I will not be lied to or conned. Pretty bad when somebody will not use it even it was given to them.

It takes 15 minutes to install and requires the ability to turn a couple of wrenches paying someone to install it is ridiculous. So wait til March 1st after you have a base line then report back. Why all the fuss? You can't dismiss it as gimmick out of hand like that without testing.

How about a COMPANY having some credibility for a change ? Back their claims up where it counts.

Offer $500K to anyone who purchases the product, that does NOT get the claimed fuel savings.

How about just accept what is offered, or not, without passing judgement on something you havent tried and a company you've never dealt with?
