This isn't a slam on Ecotaz, but something to be aware of... there are drivers who swear up and down that they get better mileage with the Turdblow than without it. When we all know it's just a piece of pipe.
Now if you want to sell as many of these contraptions as you can make, it's real easy. Go to Louisville, setup a truck on a dyno running steady-state. Rig it up with parallel fuel lines, Ecotaz on one, the other stock. And show us the improvements by just switching between fuel lines. Easy as pie.Dice1 Thanks this. -
BBB, it would appear that there are adoring fans on both sides of this fence. If it's working for you, than good. But I remain unconvinced. All of the testimonials and evidence are anecdotal.Dice1 Thanks this.

So is Dice's

Thanks Hammer166. That is a great idea, but Caterpillar has already made it even easier than that. They take a truck (bobtail) and hook up their computer to the engines computer and run 25 miles at cruise and do the test three times. it will give you your average mpg of all 3 runs. Then they install the ECO-System and do it again 3 times. Then compare results.
We have already done that also and it is on the website. -
While I, and many others on this forum, have people contracting us regularly to asking for help, clarification and opinions. The OP is the only one I have seen that is so presumptuous that he needs to not only notify people but make a private communication public. Bush league.
And everything that is done by drives here is anecdotal. What baffles me is that people will spend thousands, claim 3/10th improvement that is as anecdotal as it gets, sing these changes praises but will look at other risk-less options as bogus. BECAUSE A COMPANY IS MARKETING IT?!?
Personally I am more impressed with multiple real world anecdotal tests than any "controlled" test. Look at rolling resistance. Companies use tire compounds targeted at the test surface. Yet real world applications tear these tires apart.
And best of all, my personal test. -
Funny, best I can find is people that say "I don't know but it ain't hurting so I leave it on."
But I have found plenty of people saying it does hurt.
But worse than that, try returning one. Out of three people I know that wanted to return one (all bought at a TA), one gave up, one got a TA credit and the other got a check back from company after 6-months of fighting. -
I dont have any Microblue products nor a EcoTaz but from what Dice1 has posted about Microblue then going to try the EcoTaz then declining to use it reminds me of a Hoosier tire deal I had that if I ever even used a Goodyear or American Racer tires for any reason I would loose my deal with Hoosier. Just a little food for thought.

Why is everyone so worked up about this? It's a product some will like it some not.

How about a link to that artricle, I don't see it and I'm not going thru every link to try to find it. Don't see a thing labeled along those lines...
