I want to throw a side comment to this. Under DOT rules, if you are epileptic, you are prohibited from operating a property or passenger carrying commercial vehicle. Until the end of 2021, Colorado was one of 5 states that required rideshare drivers to pass a DOT physical to drive, in 2021 they decided drivers no longer need to pass one, they can self certify they are "physically and mentally fit to drive". There are currently 4 active lawsuits in Colorado involving rideshare drivers who had prohibited medical conditions, lied, and then later had at fault accidents, one of which was a fatal. I know the family of the person killed, the woman driver had been denied by Lyft and Uber to drive in 2019 because she was epileptic, once the law changed, she signed up, lied about her condition, she went 4 months before she had a seizure behind the wheel, kinda like smoking pot and not endangering anyone this time around, then one afternoon while carrying a passenger, she had a seizure, ran a stop sign and hit another car, killing the driver, she also critically injured her passenger. So far the state of Colorado has permanently revoked her drivers license, her, her insurance and Lyft are being sued for millions by her passenger and the family of the other drive, oh and she only carried the state minimum insurance.
####ed up, now what?

That's all I was responding to. Nothing more, nothing less.
Simple fact is, just like alcohol, some will abuse it while the vast majority won't.bryan21384 and Opendeckin Thank this. -
Really the only real option you got is to sell everything and join the French Foreign Legion.

Definitely a "low skill" thing to get into if one's introverted and doesn't want to have to fail at "putting on the happy face". -

Hope it works out for you. I really wish they would expedite a marijuana breathalyzer or something similar and only base those results the same as they do for alcohol. In other words, a test that shows you are currently under the influence of marijuana while on duty..it's legal.in so many places now that it should be treated the same as having a beer. If it's legal to have on your time off then what's the big deal
Until that day comes you CANNOT partake in Mary J as a truck driver. I was an occasional weekend pot head back in college and HS and from my own experience know it' wasnt as bad as alcohol. I haven't touched it in 35 years. so maybe I am a little out of date. I understand the stuff they smokin today is much stronger because of genetic modification.tscottme Thanks this. -
Probably going to have to find some small construction company (concrete or asphalt) that needs drivers.

1) I never drove under the influence. Testing positive for marijuana, does not mean one is high on marijuana. The metabolites (Which is what is tested for, not THC itself) stay in your system for about 30 days after use. If you're going to flap your ####-holster at least know what the #### you are talking about.
2) Heres a pro-tip from someone who isn't a judgemental, ignorant, fudd. Everything in a sentence before the "but" is ########.
Now kindly go #### yourself.Scorned, Opendeckin and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Opendeckin Thanks this.

We can all do regrettable stuff when we catch up with old mates particularly if you don't see them much. Trouble is rules are rules for a reason no matter how petty or out of touch they can be. Thankfully down here we have about 1/5 the rules you blokes have and we're not dyeing in droves from accidents.
If your not attached bundle up your stuff and come for a holiday in Aus. Take some time tripping about, take in the sights and get a feel for it. If you like it I recon I can get you a cruise job hauling water in almost any State, that is if you haven't found one already.
Nothing like change to create a bit of change,
