I went through two treatments with chemo. One in 2016 and the last 2019/2020. As you said it is no fun. 2016 I did edibles; I was off for six months so I knew I wouldn't test positive. Second treatment I really could have used the edibles, but I was working through chemo so no weed for me. After second treatment I had a drug test at work. I know they thought I was partaking. I really recommend you doing an edible. It helped me a lot. What also helped me was thinking about foods that I liked. I would lay in bed like you are doing right now and think about food. Visualize the food and as long as wife didn't put too much on plate I may eat a fork full or two. Good luck to you. First round was Rituxan second round was Gazyva and Bendamustine. Lost 35 pounds on the last treatment. Cancer sucks. Wish you the best!!!!

    44. I spent my 20's and 30,s opening call centers for us companies in S.E. Asia. However due to changes in local laws etc, that career is no longer viable. Other than that I've been a waiter and laborer as a kid, and now a truvker as an adult.

If I wasn't driving and I was going through chemo I would smoke away. If you are returning to a CDL job that doesn't test your hair, just stop 60 days before you have to give a urine sample. If you don't know who you will be working for then there may not be enough time between smoking/eating and getting a clean hair sample. It's not heroin, fentanyl, meth sort of dangerous. It's supposed to be A LOT stronger than decades ago when it just made you want to eat, be lazy, and tell long boring stories.

Almost every field is training newbies. LOTS of people in IT/computers didn't grow up dreaming of that job. They learned it because it was there only good option. You can learn almost anything. Millions of people have been trained to do almost any complicated job you can think of. It's a matter of learning the concepts, then learning the techniques, and then learning to think the way those in the field think about the process. Don't just decide you can never learn anything and then make that happen. I'd take a few free online personality tests, to sort out very broadly what kind of jobs might suit you. Then when you have that info, do internet searches about jobs for certain personality types and carefully think about those jobs or research what those jobs require you to do at work. Some people think they were only made for one job, or one "soul-mate" and if either of those go away they are done. It's not true. Every job hires new people and trains them. Learning is just a skill that anyone can learn. The biggest flight schools in the country have a "factory" that teaches you all of the details and then teaches you how to know when you focus on one of those things, and then teaches you how to move you hands and feet in just the right way. You just need to find a job that you want to do and a company willing to train you how to do it. Just stay away from college or schools who just want you to spend your money so they can pay their bills. Don't go to school just to see what happens. Find the job that requires that degree or certificate, find the employer that hires those graduates, and only go to school for that job if THAT employer wants to hire YOU if you have THAT credential.

I'd start working out, walking or anything else, and find podcasts that motivate you to search and give you ideas of what to do when you don't know already. Stay away from TV, porn, recreational eating, drugs. Maybe the failed test is the necessary step to getting into something else or testing if you REALLY want to stay in trucking. Don't give up. Every job has a forum somewhere, like this one. Use those forms to search or find out what is necessary to get into that field.
