Those don't appear to be approved by fmcsa. Not yet, anyways. I also didn't see people net, QC, or rand. And where would one buy the Bluetooth needed? Should those apps be possible.

So you rent the plug. One is $5 cheaper then the other.
Not understanding the no printer part though. Since they need printers now. Does that requirement change next year?Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
Just like your paper log book must be an accurate reflection of your time, or it is not valid. Ultimately it boils down the the honesty of the person making the edits (and edits of the edit file).Last edited: Nov 1, 2016

The requirement to print logs was made a few years ago, but they eventually rescinded that rule however some chips still operate under that rule so they suggest keeping a printer on the truck this way you can print them out if required

This has nothing to do with " doing the right thing " or " leveling the playing field." It has to do with thirty or forty thousand wanna be re****s driving for the half a dozen government backed trucking companies that are too F stupid to keep a legal book. Four lines to choose from means they would have to put their F phone down for awhile and pay attention.
They had so many violations they would lose their MC number at some point, not to mention the at fault claims from the bazillion accidents they are involved in ( bad log = auto fault / you shouldn't have been there blah, blah ).
How does this level the playing field for me the guy with the clean record? The other pro drivers?
When dude comes out with the hack, and maybe it's just a gum wrapper around the ecm, or its a $1,000 piece of software, I will be the first one in line to get one.DangitAJ!, Socal Xpress, jason6541 and 2 others Thank this. -
