Sfax is another internet fax service that is renowned for being reliable and it's completely secure and meets regulatory requirements for HIPAA, GLBA and SOX.

Some good info in this thread. So many brands promoting online fax services - where do you start?

Apart from searching for reviews, complaints, opinions and feedback on the major brands you can also check out the BBB - RingCentral does pretty well on their page with an A+ rating. Other brands didn't do as well. A good rating at the BBB at least shows that they are resolving customer complaints.

For a list of reasons why you should consider using an online fax service and some ideas on how to smash your old fax machine check out SmashyourFax.com for funny videos and cartoons.

Surprised MetroFax hasn't been listed. That's what I use. As a single-truck operation it suits my budget.

$8.99/mo for the first 500 pages. Each additional page is $0.03/each. Even with all the contracts I've been filling out the first month, I've come nowhere close to the 500 limit.

You can also email-fax to <faxnumber>@metrofax.com from your associated email account. It sends everything as PDF and you send PDF, etc. It can give you a real 'somewhat local' fax number. It can SMS text you when a new fax has arrived and emails you a copy as well.

Really see no reason to leave them unless I got so big that 500 pages weren't enough. There are other levels of service, but then other services might be better.

Only one of my broker's faxes me anything. And that one is the only one that needs the POD snail-mailed to them.

Seems like some of the E-fax stuff were having issues last week. Not sure what servers they run off of or what the deal was.

I have a myfax. & could not send or receive a couple days last week.(yes, the bill is paid. ;) ). Three days later, another broker could not receive on their e-fax last week, but then gave me the number to the mechanical machine & paperwork went through.

Have had myfax since '07 w/o issue until last week. But sounds like it was a bigger deal than just one company.
