    I got code Spn-2791 and Spn-3058.
The CEL is on but no active codes in dash display. I pulled codes from ELD.
Per google this is indicates the EFR actuator isn’t working properly.
I have verified the actuator arm moves when I switch the ignition on.
I’ve also checked the wiring harness and it has no oil or moisture.
    Anything else I can check?
And what will happen if I continue to drive it?
I’d like to get these loads done before I go to shop.

    D.Tibbitt and kemosabi49 Thank this.

I had the same codes on the International I drive. I kept driving until I got back to the yard but the light had went back out by then. Did that for a few months. They eventually changed the EGR valve.

Thanks!! My light is intermittent. Just wanted to make sure it wouldn’t cause any additional problems or derate. It done a regen today while driving so that made me feel better.

I have a similar issue, can you clean the EGR valve? I keep getting engine lights on the dash which I think is because the EGR valve is all sorted up

could be soot build up, if you can remove it and clean it, it should continue to work. Just sometimes it can’t open or completely close, because of the build up.

From the coolant I found in my EGR cooler today it appears that’s my problem.
I’m wondering if the code is being caused by the faulty EGR cooler?
And of course there is no EGR cooler to be had, they are back ordered and have no eta. So ima take it off and take it to a radiator shop and see if the can fix it or rebuild it.

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

not sure if the egr cooler leak will cause a egr fault code, as generally if the actuator isn’t opening and closing correctly will throw that code.

When you opened it up, was it dirty inside? Soot build up?

The cooler didn’t look to bad, from what I could see. It was definitely some soot but not any build up.
The “cold” pipe on driver side was really clean with zero build up, just some signs of coolant.

is your egr actuator the new style or old style? You happen to have an image of it?
