EGR code question

    I didn’t see it on the cross pipe. Could it be located somewhere else or is it possible to not have one?

    It was done about 40k ago by the dealer. So fingers crossed

    Not to familiar on the DD16 but I remember faint information that it was replaced on later years, not sure when exactly it was replaced. But it’s something to make sure and see if that would need cleaning as well.


    @Antinomian might be able to help further on this as his knowledge is far extensive on the DD series than mine.

    Delta-P sensor? It's at the front. Just take it off and clean the two holes out with a pipe cleaner. They get clogged up with normal operation and have to be cleaned every now and then. Don't lose the two green flat o-rings.

    Wasn’t the Delta P replaced later on with something else?

    Mine is a 2016 made in January of 2015, so 2014 engine, and it still has one. I know that the intake throttle and Delta-P are gone in later model DD15's, but I'm not familiar with those.

    Ya his is a dd16, not sure if they have one or not.

    Has anyone had any luck pulling the EGR valve off and cleaning it?

    I am getting lights on the dash, which I am pretty sure is the egr valve not opening and closing fully.

    Am thinking I will pull it off and try and clean it up, hopefully it's just some carbon build up that's stopping it

    Mine was rusted shut from coolant in the EGR. I removed it and soaked it in white vinegar to remove the rust, used a toothbrush to scrub the inside real well then sprayed some WD-40 on it and it works perfect again.

    I am guessing it's literally just the 4 bolts and take the pipe clamp off from the back?

    Any chance of snapping the bolts? from memory mine is actually 4 nuts, so I think it should be OK.


    Did you put on a new gasket?
