07 KW, I am too chicken to do what you did, partly because of upcoming truck emissions testing in Illinois.

However, I will NOT be the person to throw a stone at you! Well said also!

 

They don't even smog test cars outside of a handful of counties. I doubt they're going to start testing all trucks.

The changes I made are completely reversible, should the day come they come out with some miracle test to tell the EGR was blocked. Honestly, I don't see how they'd know...there were no visible indication or idiot lights turned on at the dash.

I have since sold that truck, but, did inform the buyer before hand what I did. He appreciated it was done, he'd have done it himself anyway.
