    I’m looking at ELD devices and would like your opinions on what works for you for Canadian driving.
    I would like one that does HOS, pre-post trip inspections, mechanical issues, and storage of receipts for repair, tickets, inspections, etc.
    I would like to run a tablet instead of a companies proprietary components.
    Recommendations are appreciated.

    Motive. (Formerly Keep Trucking). It’s a pretty good system. It does what you’ve listed as well as connects to the dash camera. Technical support has been good too.

    A cool $480 usd/year if you also want the ifta tracking. Good product, but pushes the limit on how much it's really worth.

    Is there another brand you’d like to try if you didn’t have Motive?
    I had a demo with Motive. really decent yearly rates imo. seems like they streamline the safety aspect of it well and helps with payroll for drivers.

    We use Samsara. It works pretty good. It's better than Omnitracs that we used to use.

    I’ve had Motive, Verizon and ended up with Samsara…..

    Samsara has a good interface for the driver and an awesome interface for the owner side of things.

    Is Isaac still legal I thought they had issues and drivers were using paper while they sorted it out..
