Exceptions -

• Drivers who use paper RODS for not more than 8 days out of every 30-day period.
• Drivers who conduct drive-away-tow-away operations, where the vehicle being driven is the commodity being delivered.
• Drivers of vehicles manufactured before 2000.

Where do you see livestock?

Doing a Ctrl F search for the word(s) "animal" "animals" or "livestock" brings up only one hit. And it's NOT about an exemption.

 

Why all the hate for elogs? I can't wait until they throw them in all our trucks. I do enough bloody paperwork over the course of the day. Anything that keeps a pen out of my hand is A-Okay with me.

 

I would say read all 516 pages. Not saying I'm right but from what I'm reading it sure looks that way.

 

That's YOUR prerogative. Why do you think they should be forced onto the rest of us if we do not like to have them or don't mind drawing a few lines a day?

 

You're not. The only exception livestock haulers currently have or will have at this point is listed under 395.1:

(v) Transport of livestock. The provisions of §395.3(a)(3)(ii), requiring a 30-minute rest break, do not apply to a driver engaged in the interstate transportation of livestock by commercial motor vehicle while the livestock are on the vehicle.

 

I actually have read all 516 pages. Have you? A Ctrl F search searches the entire document for the chosen word.

How about YOU read it and get back to us about what page it's on. Your screen shot of a page could easily have been manipulated by any number of photo programs to show what you believe is true. A link to a direct webpage showing the same is much more convincing.
