ELD issues / DOT tolerance of issues

The truck I’m running seems to have an issue with the ELD , I cannot connect to it on my phone, so therefore it doesn’t calculate my driving distance , driving time, etc.
I have been manually entering the info ( on KeepTruckin) , I assume this is not tolerated by DOT and I could be fined, correct? Any ideas on what the issue could be?

Will they really fine you up to 10,000 if there’s a violation or if you #### up your log??

Contact keeptruckin 24 hour support via phone or email they are good at assisting with any issue. Make sure your bluetooth is turned on and that the eld unit is registered to your truck.
