ELD kills me on my first day!!

I have a glider that is eld exempt but an eld will function in it, with that being said my carrier (I'm an owner operator) decided I should run one instead of a paper log. It got installed yesterday and got me 70 miles back to my house just fine but now this morning I fire up my truck to go to work and the Bluetooth is inactive on the device they installed. How are we supposed to make any money or even operate if the equipment is garbage?? It's the QV21 tlf

 

I'm in the Oilfield of ND and with the employee turnover rate so high out here I'm sure they want everyone doing the same thing so it is easier to manage, they wanted to see if it would work and they plugged it in and it did. I have a 6nz with a '99 build date. The ecm is off of a newer motor so maybe that's why it works??

 

Unfortunately I can't pick my own device and I don't want to drive OTR

 

They would rather I sit and address the issues than run paper, and I get my loads through my eld so if it is not functioning properly then... No loads
