That's good for someone running up a lot of miles. I can't recall a week in many years where I even came close to using an entire 70 hours in a week. Most weeks it's around 50+/-.

I'm the same way. It's not the 70 for me it's the 14. And not like I'm working over my 14 but if a shipper holds me up for more than 3 hours? Or I get held up in bad traffic after being held up at the shipper for more than 3 hours?

Had one of our guys get held up on 65 just south of x201 for an accident week before. Has 1 1/2 left on his clock. 1 hour from the house. He sat there for 4 hours while they cut a driver out of his truck.

What is he suppose to do? Be the last one into the truckstop or go home? Either way it's technically a violation.

Go back to logging 101. The same rules that allows an extension for that situation or safe Haven rules still apply.

People are seriously overreacting to this.

I thought "safe haven" was for hazardous cargo only? No?

You're going to take a 10 hour break in the scenario he laid out when that 14 hour clock runs out. You can't just use personal conveyance or "it was an emergency" every time something like that happens. It's not going to fly in an audit.

Well, someone needs to go back to logging school. You might wanna look in the mirror to see who. There is no such thing as a safe haven in regards to logging. It's simply truck stop counter myth. As for logging PC, well you might get away with it, but it's not allowed by the Guidance, which is the only part of the FMCSA that talks about PC.

Apparently, you're the one who needs a HOS/logbook class. "Safe Haven" pertains to HAZMAT loads, not logbooks. I believe you might be referring to the "Adverse Driving Conditions" exemption. Your homework for today's class will require reading the statute below in it's entirety.

eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations

Indeed but it has nothing to do with HOS. Here's the statute:

They know exactly what they're doing. Get every last dime out of the country before it OFFICIALLY collapses. Marxists and Globalists are two birds of prey picking at what's left of our carcass.

Some great links right there. To be honest....I have never really read ALL that crap. I wonder who has? LOL

I glanced thru it. I find it amazing that the ELDs have to be programmed to understand and be able to implement all those regulations. I doubt any programmer even has a FlucKing clue what that stuff means.....and yet.....he is programming an ELD that we are required to operate by.

No wonder all ELDs are 'Self Certified' (Wink,Wink).

FMCSA can't certify an ELD BECAUSE they themselves have nobody at the FMCSA who knows all the rules. LMAO......
