AMEN. If those dry van companies, and O/O would shut down for a week. Those who are hauling feminine products and those women in Crapital HIll did not have their Kotex, or Tampons. I do not give it a week before they decide to listen to the Trucking Industry, drivers, and so forth. LOL

 

They all got bills to pay, they can't afford to take a week or two extra off because everything they own is bought on credit anymore. Most company drivers are just fine with the current hos, they don't seem to mind sitting around for half the day in truckstops, I don't see what they do for 10 hours a day sitting in a truck at a truck stop.

 

Cause they don't know any better all they know is there getting more than a McDonalds worker

 

So you make it from FL back into the Midwest without breaking the law? Because I used to see the truck in your avatar pic when I was running FL and breaking the law.

 

If my business is successful and I’m making a really good living doing what I’m doing why is it my responsibility to shut down because others can’t make a go of it in the current environment?

HOS reform is something I’d be willing to get behind, but the trucking groups are only still interested in eld’s. And that’s not a fight that is important to me.

 

The only reform is that the lawmakers and Government bureaucrats need to pull their heads out of their ##***s and decide on the rules, or go back to what worked for 60 years in this industry.

 

Kind of contradictory there.

@Triple Digit Bullhauler I’ve hauled a lot of livestock, mostly long distance off the west coast and from FL. I know what it takes and how to do it which is why I was poking fun at you saying you don’t break the law. You’re no different than I was, we just didn’t get caught. And we’re smart enough to have everything in order good enough to pass a roadside inspection.

 

I hate eld's company is too greedy and they try to convince you that running with a full load under personal conveyance is okay. I guess it's okay until the dot inspect your logs and laughed like hell and he says you better come in and sit a spell because tonight son your ### is mine. Lol
