Is Geowiz still considered no good?

I was just about to buy their dongle until I read a page more.

Keep Trucking is telling me 3-6 weeks for delivery.

    WT F?

Is the Geospace Lab ELD worth it at all?

Called and got a good feeling about them.

Called back and didn't get an answer three times.

    Kind of makes me wonder...

Personally I'd only get one from the companies that have been around awhile. RM, Keepontrucking, and of course people net and omnitracs. I'm sure there are others...

All these little places that have popped up to sell a mandated device, will be out of business within a year. Then the driver is scrambling to find a device within the 7 days allowed by mandate.... Would suck to have to park the truck for a $15/month device....

They said the same thing to me in late October. It arrived maybe 7 days after i bought it online. And that is from USA to Canada (usually very slow deliveries). Should be faster for shipments within USA. I haven't connected it yet, I am thinking early December. On my next home reset most likely.

I also bought the one20 F eld earlier, maybe September? Made an error on that one, didn't realize it doesn't support Canadian hos only USA. No monthly payment though, so I will use that for backup if needed.

Correct, for ELD mode. He was originally replying to a post that referred to the current Rand AOBRD mode which allows for higher than 5 MPH being force-ably switched to the ELD mode 5 MPH on the mandate date.

Devices that provide for AOBRD mode through 2019 don't have to drop to the 5 MPH yard move rule till 2019 unless the company chooses to switch them to ELD mode.

Don't waste you're money! They are a scam company. I tried them a couple months ago and the log portion didn't do it's job right. At times it would show my driver going back in time and odometer reading. They won't refund me the money I spent on the 4 dongles I purchased either.

You're kidding me. I just ordered a dongle yesterday.

I guess I'll use it while running a paper log just in case.

I'm sorry to hear that! They kept trying to tell me it's ios update issue and they submitted the update but Apple was taking there sweet time to publish it. When I tried using it on my android devices, still had the same problems.

Then there was the issue with ifta. They didn't understand that ALL miles needed to be reported. I wish you luck with them.
