Just ordered 4 for my fleet. Saw them at GATS last weekend. Very good back office setup, amazing team they have and they are willing to program the software to meet your needs at no extra cost.

My company uses the JJ Keller phone app e-log. A unit is installed in our trucks that syncs easily (most times) to our company provided android phones. The system is pretty much a plug in and play system that seems to work most times. Occasionally, we have to re-sync our phones because we have to take the phones out of our trucks to use our company's equipment inspection app. Sometimes they don't un-sync, sometimes they do. We get paid by the hour so it's really not a big deal. The Keller app has a roadside inspection tab which locks the phone leaving only the log app visible.

i am leaning towards an ELD that does not have a monthly payment/subscription .. you pay once (about $200-300) and your set.. any suggestions?!? (if it brakes or what not, i will return it and get another one getting good warranty on it)

ELD - Registered ELDs
They even have a list of devices that had their registration revoked.
Motor Carriers and Drivers
Starting February 16, 2016 until December 18, 2017 motor carriers and drivers may voluntarily use ELDs. Prior to purchasing an ELD, motor carriers and drivers should confirm with the ELD provider/manufacturer that the device is certified and registered with FMCSA.
View a list of self-certified and registered ELDs.
Devices that are not certified and registered with FMCSA must meet the definition of an Automatic On-board Recording Device or the requirements in §395.8 in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.gokiddogo Thanks this.
