The first time I seen this thread I thought this was a silly idea but I've been thinking of maybe trying this on mine. Do you guys think it could be done successfully with a single screw, 375hp Cat? Only a copper core rad up front. No condensor, air to air etc. Might tow a max of 10k-15k lbs once in a blue moon.

Absolutely. They use them on big motor homes.

Also if a heavy duty wrecker pulling a truck and trailer can handle it no reason a singe screw pulling an rv or toy trailer couldnt.

The big issue I'm seeing is the amp draw. Holy geeze a single 15" fan draws 20 amps for 2500 cfm of flow. I'd need a 200 amp alternator to run 4 fans plus all the chicken lights and the rooftop condensor fan. I suppose a guy could always hook 2 fans up to say a 200 degree switch and the other 2 fans to a 210 degree one. Minimize the amp draw until all 4 fans are actually needed.

That tow truck operator had 2 sets of 2 running on 50 amp circuits. And yep, a 200 amp alternator is a must.
