I'll believe in electric trucks when you can sink one diff deep in mud while grossed out at 63,500kg, then hook a D8 Cat onto the front and pull it out without breaking anything.

Even so with less trucks burning diesel it should come down due to supply and demand. Nothing says the tree huggers won't tax the #### out of it though

If I were a betting man, I would place a more than modest size bet on fuel taxes staying the same, and a mile tax added to all vehicles to catch the electrics. And ooooops, diesel trucks will pay both.....

I don't think there's ever been a tax that was abolished.....

I did some research and some math about 6 months ago. It takes enough energy to run a city of 10,000 people to charge 10 trucks that have a range of 300 miles each. It takes like 212 windmills to create that power. Minimum manufacturing run of electric trucks should be at least a min of 50k trucks.

So all we need is another 10.6 million windmill for those 50k trucks. What happens if the wind doesn't blow? I guess no one gets there Pepsi today?

To put it the opposite way.... 123 million people could just do without electricity every day so we can charge just those 50k trucks.

I don't know about your town but where I live (rual Illinois) the windmill companies are run out of town on a rail most places NOW.

Just gotta barely crack them fuel rods in the reactor though baby.

To put into perspective how powerful atomic energy is, you kinda see how big a modern super carrier is right?
Well acceleration in one of those is like stepping on the gas in your car.
Just crack them rods ever so slightly.

    Hey, I'm all for nuclear.

But he general population thinks it can all be solved with unicorns and fairy dust.

Not to mention the infrastructure that will be needed going into that Swift / Knight terminal you guys have over there?

It's just more jobs. They have it in a good spot though. We have Palo Verde, largest nuke plant in North America.
