My logs let me be on duty for 24 hours a day.

One time on home time I left myself on line 4 by accident. I had 8 days of on duty. Just can't drive till you take a 10, well, 34 in that case. It was a quick easy fix though. I was on the road in about 5 minutes of finding out what happened lol

I fully agree, as far as I'm concerned I'd much rather have two statuses. On duty and off duty. allow 16 hours from the time you start your day, no splits. Do what you like during this time, drive sleep, pick up hookers, I don't care.

    DrtyDiesel and Logan76 Thank this.

    dirty

i drove about 80hrs last week, i was mentally exhausted

i called a few friends of mine and we all agreed, 70hr rule makes sense

maybe not to write it in stone, but after 70 or so hours of driving, you do get mentally drained

    Meltom Thanks this.

dirty, but i am in full agreement that many of these "rules" should be more like recommendations, NOt stuff you punish a man with financial penalties

you may be able to work 80hrs, the next man may only be able to work 60

you may be able to driver 16hrs, some of us struggle with 6hrs

sadly, the government cant tell which of us has whatever capabilities and they wind up having to find out after an accident

there just should be a better way than this one-size fits all regarding a driving making an income for his family and driving safely on the roads

10hrs sitting is much too much for me

if drivers would just tell their dispatchers what their limits are and everyone were to respect that limit, that would be a perfect world

i log more then 14 on my computer. and i've got a pink screen and violations to deal with. and need to be fixed before i'm allowed to continue on with my logs.

my log program is strictly by the regs. and won't allow otherwise.
