"Eleven foot drom"????

    Thanks to all of you! I have seen those on the road.
    The picture on the card is a driver-side front quarter shot, and I don't see anything between the cab and trailer, so maybe the owner uninstalled the drom box...

    If you have a long wheelbase COE you could make a huge sleeper out of one.

    At one point if you had the capability to haul part of the cargo on the tractor you were allowed to have a longer overall length of the tractor and trailer. Don't know if that is still in effect. Being an old car hauler that is the principle involved with a stinger. Some cars on the tractor, a stinger fifth wheel and you are allowed to be 75 foot overall.

    Interesting! I didn't know that. The other day I also learned that the car above the cab usually goes backwards to help lighten the steers!
