Best joke i've heard today.
So, a company driver is just out here for a hobby? Not really concerned about making a living. I guess you think all shippers/receiver should have a separate line for O/O to go first before company trucks, and truck stops should have O/O only fuel lanes.

I went off duty for 2 hours and the clock kept running.

Not sure what ELD you have. Keep Trucking will show a violation until you fulfill the 2nd half of your split break. After the 1st break, whether it’s the long or short one, Keep Truckin will show your remaining clocks if you select the split sleeper option. If you don’t believe me you can read the regs for yourself. When using the split sleeper option either of the two breaks will pause your 14.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

So day cab driver can't stop the clock? Have the 2 hour extension but it can only be used once a week.
I don't think having to take another 8 hour break to get the time back is the same as the clock stopping when off duty.Last edited: Aug 18, 2021
Reason for edit: Added some more reason dBean Jr. Thanks this. -
The split is not designed for day cabs, as the longer portion of a split must be taken in the sleeper.

You didn’t mention driving a day cab until now. So no you can’t stop the clock without having a sleeper to be able to log sleeper berth. Sorry for the confusion.

You support communism? One size doesn't not fit all.. It will always cater to the weakest point thus driving us all down to the ground with it. Accidents are still happening and will continue to happen, it's a part of life. Deal with it.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Oh please, it isn’t about catering it is about limiting damage. You want to see it changed you all start policing this industry to get rid of the crap drivers and crap carriers.Geekonthestreet and Bean Jr. Thank this.
