We will just have to agree to disagree on certain things. I do not condone or approve of running illegal either. Read my post above this one to the OP which will explain a few things, or my viewpoint anyway.
First we have to get truck drivers to agree on the sky being blue, the grass being green and how to make a left turn before we can think of organizing something so massive.
Let,s see 1. my starter isn,t working, and they havebeen manufactured longer than E-logs.2.my airconditioner is not working and ithas been made long bfore e-logs.3my speedometer is not accurate and it was made before e-logs.4.my heater fan motor only has 1 speed.5. just burnt out another headlight.6 Just replaced 2 bad batterys. All of these items are electronic and are fairly easy to diagnose when they have problems, but how many log violation tickets will you recieve before someone finds out the {magic box} is not working properly.
Wow, ever think the rules are what they are because someone gave a reason or cause to create them? And then for the ones that broke those rules gave reason for more? E-Logs ? It's fear and ignorance that bring with them their little green cousin hate, causing the harm. It is the fact that the e-log restricts the ability to cheat or that it will tell when you are driving in violation that has most up in arms over the darn things. Paper logs and the fudging, tweaking, or downright falsifying them is why most of this all came about to begin with. Those that think they know their limits are always surprised when they finally find them because they usually result in a wreck of some kind. I'll get down off my soap box now, thank you.
If theirs a will theirs a way. You can cheat anything if you really wanna. By the time everyone might be forced to run them their will be many was to cheat them if you really have to. Check out Europe, they where doing this years ago in many different ways and someone always figured out how to cheat them. So they changed to a more advanced system and once again, you know it, it got cheated. Just saying, don't be sceeeeerd it's only e-log. If you really need to I'm sure their are ways to.
Just a FYI, CR England had a server crash and all trucks where forced to shut down for 72 hours awhile ago. Elogs are grand sometimes.
It be nice if they all crashed at the same time. It's be #### near empty highways and rates would be threw the roof. Now I must go talk to some computer geeks and see what they say. Randomly 2-4 times a month all e log servers crash hahahaha. I'm just joking, don't take this seriously. Was just making a funny. Hahaha.
Windows has encountered a fatal error...Your truck will be shut down and not allowed to idle...To send a problem report press enter...otherwise, bend over and have your vasoline ready...
