If you have nothing better to say about moving the tandems, you need to move on to another thread and be helpful......

May you be watched over by your angel in heaven who taught a job that you can take on and move right back into, If I can add any advise to the sliding thing is be sure your truck is in line, pull the knob and let her go!! You will be old hat in no time. Ask the nice guys for help if they have a POS truck pass them by.

You can't erase a magic marker..soap stone you can wipe it away with a damp rag

    Here's my tricks:

Stuck Pins dish soap helps with stuck pins, just squirt a little at the top of the pin and it will run down the sides.
If the release rod won't stay in the notch use vise grips to hold it out (a fifth wheel puller helps with this style too).

    Sliding
Use a point on the truck that you can see from the cab and another on the ground that matches the distance you need and line them up.

Thank you one and all for your kind messages. I am in the process of packing and I will leave later today for Illinois.

It is so nice to have encouraging remarks-this has to be one of the hardest journeys that I will ever have to undertake. The hardest, of course, was laying my husband to rest. But I believe that he will be guiding me.

I am he, he is me, and we are we. Sleep well, my warrior. You deserve it.
