I was a O/O. But even when I wasn't a O/O......I still carried a lot of these items. I got sick and tired of doing trailer hunts because some fat slob was too lazy to QualCom a defect in before he dropped a trailer. I could waste hours looking for a MT, or do a simple fix in 5-10 minutes and get rolling. Trailer hunts were the one thing about Schneider that used to really tick me off, and it was all because of laziness on the driver who dropped the trailer. I wasted 5-6 hours one day driving the loop around Indianapolis looking for for a decent/safe trailer, and it was about the only time I ever barked at my driver manager. I said......never again!
I never touched anything that was over my head expertise wise.........but if it was a simple repair........I was going to get it rolling.
Most any Schneider driver would agree with me on this about some of the SNI trailers.

Your sleeper should be stocked to get you by for 3 to 5 days. water, food, warm clothes, naked women ( just a though).

Duct tape and WD40

Good tips all.
I don't know if I even have the space for those "extras" RetiredUSN suggests, but i will do what I can. if you are traveling in the Canadian/north of 48 winters, you want to be prepared, as you may be there overnight with no way to get to a town, without a big expense. Maybe one of those "space blankets" is not a bad thing to have around and they are small. Most Canadians have them in the emergency bag, as you don't know if it is you or someone you come across that needs it.
