    The actual wording of the law is rather interesting. Notice the 75 mile rule.

    http://www.dol.gov/compliance/guide/fmla.htm

    To be eligible for FMLA leave, an individual must meet the following criteria:

    • Be employed by a covered employer and work at a worksite within 75 miles of which that employer employs at least 50 people;
    • Have worked at least 12 months (which do not have to be consecutive) for the employer; and
    • Have worked at least 1,250 hours during the 12 months immediately before the date FMLA leave begins.

    when my dad was really sick I was a 6 months rookie with werner.I went to manager and told him I had to take off.He created a job for me that I would use a daycab and meet another driver 300 miles out and swap trailers and come back to the yard where I could be with dad during the day.Some companies will do whatever to keep good drivers.I will be praying for you and your family

    Try again with how many paid , ON DUTY hours you think he had in 4 months . I'm certain it will be far short of 1250 hours
