This coming year I am getting 4 new trucks, they all have the Cummins X15.
What parts of the emissions system need maintenance, and how often.
This is new territory for me.
    Thanks

The main thing is do not put DEF into fuel tank, it should be fine otherwise if you follow manufacturer's instructions)

    BennysPennys and Pamela1990 Thank this.

Are all of your current trucks pre-emission?

Normally you drive into pot hole and that stuff falls off.

Biggest thing with the emission engines is to make them work. They like heat. DEF degrades over time. With your type of operation I'd buy it in barrels, rather than from the pumps. At least you know the quality is good if you test it when you unseal it.

I know a guy who did that. Apparently he didn’t know the DEF had its own pump? I still don’t understand how he managed to fit the diesel nozzle in there, but maybe I don’t want to know.

Dino soar, Pamela1990 and BennysPennys Thank this.
