Employable without work history?

Point is to shop around. You can find places that will train you for much less than $4 or $5k.

 

And all they have to do is punch your name and social into a computer and your criminal history will come up in 5 seconds, so don't try to hide it. Even if you have criminal history lots of companies will hire you, and some even get an extra tax break for hiring someone who has been in jail so don't hide that, just tell the truth. I've seen people take off 5 years to do nothing but hang out after their parents die and get some money or whatever, don't sweat it just put down, "I was not employed in a D.O.T. regulated industry and etc during that time. 9 out of 10 companies will hire you

 

REsearch companies closely. There are companies out there that hire a driver wirh no experience. Usually they will make you ride as a team with a trainer, until the trainer feels you are ready to get your own truck.
