I looked at Crete's web page and it says that new drivers need 1 year of experience, which I dont have. Also Western Express said the same thing.
Should I go ahead and take my permit tests now along with my DOT Physical? Even if I decide to go to a company that has a school? Or should I commit to a company that will pay for my truck driving school? -
I wouldn't worry about that. Did you check out TDI?
-
Not yet. Doing it now
-
Apply to alot of them, even tankers! Might
try any local companies too. -
The thing about TDI is, their standards are stricter than the trucking companies so if you are accepted into the school you're guaranteed a job. I Was accepted at every company I applied to. And that way you're not tied down to one company. Some companies offer tuition reimbursement.
-
How does the tuition reimbursement work? Do schools defer tuition until after you graduate because the company you are committed to will pay it? Or do you pay it ahead of time and the company reimburses you? The places i looked up are very vague on tuition reimbursement.
-
For starters maybe you should take your name off of here.
-
I have tryed multiple times and it wont let me
-
My payment is roughly 36 a month. Most companies pay a portion on a monthly basis! Each one is different, some wont pay if you've been out of school to long.
