Never thought I'd see the french foreign legion be promoted to a job hopping trucker lmao.

Those guys are a rough crowd. And I mean rough. Desperate cut-throats from third world cesspools. I've had the misfortune of meeting 2 former legionnaires once and know a few vets who ran into them a few times.

Imagine if delta force guys had no integrity and were so broke they though a hundred bucks was the equivalent of a winning powerball ticket.

Couple of drivers on here did a 5 yr. hitch in the Legion.
I was rejected because over the age limit by a year or so. Didn't do my due diligence first.
So, I got drunk with the French ladies and caught a flight back home to the states.

Things are über slow right now and lots of places aren't really hiring. They're just stacking up aps and keeping their HR people busy. Also there's plenty of straight up fake jobs being posted on places like Indeed/Glass Door and places looking to replace their higher paid guys with people willing to do the same job for significantly less.

There are places that are truly hiring but with the market the way it is they have tons of applicants lined up around the block. Employers know this and can afford to be very picky. They'll hold out for that unicorn employee that's the absolute perfect fit.

You're in a great market for local work so you should be able to find something in construction, food service and plenty of B work. Driving without a trailer behind you can pay just as good.

Finally, why even bother to list all those jobs? If you have 6 years of experience you might be able to omit them completely if you don't have anything associated with them on your PSP or DAC.

Lots of local places will never pull either of those even if there is something there. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Don't feel bad, I have 3 almost 4 years and I cant get work either, been with 5 carriers in that time, 2 of them shorted pay and stole from me

Constant stream of "were not hiring" "we dont hire florida", "you had to be at your current/last employer minimum 1 year" etc. I have 2 old tickets no accidents and I cant find anything that will even look over an application that pays more than 50cpm except HMD and honestly im not looking for east US regional, theres just no money in that getting 1500 miles a week aint it in the eastern US and I cant take local

Then most reefer and food grade tanker companies are slow right now (evidenced by companies like IRT dropping their pay from 60cpm to 50cpm)

Never had any dings on my DAC except a fraudulent one from Oakley transport which they out themselves on verification bc I never worked for them

Its seriously a pain with so many companies not hiring, pay is low right now. Many of these companies aren't worth working for and its even worse because their turnover is high and they know drivers are gonna leave bc they pay nothing so even getting temp work is impossible currently

all my choice companies aren't hiring so I already know im gonna go through 2 more carriers in the next year and picking a job I already hate before im hired is just gonna be bad

Long story short industry is currently in the toilet, miles are low, pay is low, companies struggling and ive had several friends leave their jobs and try their luck on lease its gotten so bad

i keep being told just stay at whatever you find until a good company will finally hire or go work For a small fleet owner or drive for an O/O under a company like prime
