I had a year and a half of unemployment, (6 months w/out collecting benefits). Was lead to believe that I may have to have someone write a letter verifying my whereabouts. I did not have to do that. Maybe because of my 20+ years of solid work history between 2 jobs before being laid off.
It's my impression that those gaps throw more red flags if you have had a CDL and there are large gaps in your employment history. Like maybe you are leaving something out.
I dunno, needing a letter to verify gaps in employment may be a myth, but if you look around TTR and other trucking forums, it's a very common one.

the Feds only set up a base foundation to work with, the employer cannot lower that, but build it higher if they wanted to.
you think you know, but you don't, again, I shot you down, and yet you still get up to quibble about it.
