You are correct. Unless the employer will verify his past employment or he has copies of tax returns, it will be difficult to prove that he worked for that time. If he has a bank account and put his money in that account, he could prove that he had income, but not necessarily where it came from. Most carriers will not hire a driver whom they cannot verify their employment history, at least the last 3 years. If you were in school, then they want verification for that time.

He might find something with a local construction company driving a dump truck. Or he could do local deliveries, but will likely find it difficult to get on with a carrier without proof of past employment.

 

The not paying tax part was not that harsh. Its the truth.

Good news is that Prime wont require you to provide any tax records for that job or even your salary status if Prime gets a hold of your landscaping employers and they verify the dates of your employment.

If these landscaping employers cannot be contacted, or they ignore Prime's request, only then will the burden be on you to provide other evidence (copies of W-2's, stubs, etc). (which you dont have)

 

Well, if you claimed the cash salary for your services on your taxes then I apologize.

If not, then there is no grey area.

 

If the CASH was claimed on tax returns there would be proof of employnent with said tax returns
