I just got an offer to drive for Swift and they are setting me up to start next week however they still have to verify my employment. I am a little nervous because I lied about the timeline of my employment and where I worked. I have worked at the places I listed but the dates were not accurate and I’m nervous about it. Are they really strict about that ? How do they actually verify. If I can provide the check stubs do you think that will be okay ? Some of the jobs I honestly didn’t hold for a year. Will that be an issue. I really need this. Most companies have been denying me because of the area I live in so I don’t have many options.

During interviews just say you had to guess about some of those jobs.
Which area do you live in that seems to be a problem.born&raisedintheusa, silverspur and Numb Thank this. -
I live at the very bottom of Texas in Weslaco a lot of companies say it is outside of their hire area. I’ve tried so many I’m getting discouraged.

Dont get me wrong if it was a minor error like saying you worked 1/5/20 - 6/5/20 but it was actully 1/10/20 - 6/20/20 its not that big a deal.
But from it sounds like. You lied about your dates, where you worked and such intentionally....thats going to bite you in the ###. That said im a 1 man band so im unsure what tools bigger carriers use and how extensive they are so ima poke @Ridgeline and @Chinatown since they own a largeish company and are the recruiter god here respectivly and will be able to ask details and give you a better idea.born&raisedintheusa and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
I also left off one of the main jobs I’m sure will pop up on any background they do it was a city job that I quit but they reported that I was let go. Idk if that will be an issue either. I didn’t think they would take it this far.

I’m new to this so I didn’t know otherwise I would’ve told the truth I’ve been working customer service for so long I just used what was on my resume which I’ve never had an issue with in the past I’ve honestly never had an issue getting jobs but I don’t think they verify as deep.

Weslaco is at the southern tip of Texas in the Rio Grande Valley near the Mexican border, across the Rio Grande from the city of Nuevo Progreso, Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas.

I applied to them but I haven’t heard anything back. I had to leave my most recent job it was a work from Home due to connection issues Internet here sucks so I really need to start something soon.born&raisedintheusa and Chinatown Thank this. -
If Swift sends a bus ticket, then use it. If you have any problem at orientation, just say, "Sorry, the stuff I put on my applications is the best I can do by memory."
Evidently Swift needs a driver from your area.born&raisedintheusa, bryan21384, Speedy356 and 2 others Thank this.
