You’re right. I’m trying to to worry about to so much. They are offering to I just saw some posts saying they have sent people home before during orientation and I panicked because I didn’t know if that could be a potential reason.

Just go for it. If Swift sends you home, then we'll try another way. Maybe you'll hear from the WIOA soon.Last edited: Mar 19, 2025

Swift isn't the only game in town. Apply to many carriers and give the exact truth to all applications from this point on. Your mistake won't follow you to the next company. Then you have a backup plan.
MidwestResident and FutureDriver25 Thank this. -
If i understand correctly, you do not have a cdl yet? If that's so, this is not likely to be that big a deal. For future reference, carriers are required to get the previous,3 years of all employers and the previous 10 years of driving jobs. They must verify 3 years of driving positions, but I don't believe they must for non-driving jobs. 3 years you must account for all months, but not weeks.
I drove for a friend of mine under 4 different carriers. I know the dates, and I knew when they fell off. 2 more years, I will only have to put 1 carrier, instead of 3MidwestResident, FutureDriver25 and Stringb8n Thank this. -
Most of the time this happens because Mr. Smokealotameth decided to hit his pipe sometime just prior to going into this orientation, where he likely knew he would need to fill up a cup, and instead of pissing holy water like he should have, he pissed the "good" stuff. Or maybe the guy that is taking Lipitor, knows he isn't going to pass that physical but still showed up like a champ anyway.MidwestResident, FutureDriver25 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

When I was at Swift orientation, I specifically remember the facilitator at the time (probably not there anymore, this was in 2006) say the same. She said "DOT doesn't want to know about you working at McDonalds, or Taco Bell, only jobs you drove a truck at, if you didn't drive a truck at all beyond 3 years, don't list it."MidwestResident, FutureDriver25 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

As long as the dates are close to accurate, you'll be fine. It's one thing if you're a little off, sometimes dates get fuzzy. It's another thing if you neglected to list something.
MidwestResident, FutureDriver25 and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
Many people aren't hired because they talk too much and volunteer information that isn't asked for.
MidwestResident, bryan21384, FutureDriver25 and 1 other person Thank this. -
