Yeah, it doesn't matter how straight you think you parked, it'll always be a bit off. And steering across the bridge when you can see how far the tires are already hanging over the edge was high pucker factor the first time., for sure!

I can sympathize with you guys and your bridges and ramp decks, we have always had a full 100" to work with, but I will tell you that backing a pickup truck with a 102 wide horse trailer all the way off the trailer with just 6" wide tires can be a challenge!

    Terry270 and Hammer166 Thank this.

Years ago, I was bouncing from NM up to Denver and stopped in Walsenburg to eat. While there, I overheard this family talking about having to pay a small fortune to have their Suburban and pop-up towed back to Castle Rock.

Yeah, no. High gear in the tranny was going out, but it worked fine in low, so we loaded them up and the dad and half the kids went with me (Someone was already most of the way there to take everyone else home,) and off we went.

The fun part was the I had one of those 9189 Boydstun's with that split back deck, so the trailer wheels were riding on that bridge on the outside edge of the deck. It's safe to say that it took more than one or two tries to back that thing off!o_O
